All-Inclusive Therapy Services

Proud Member of TherapyDen

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Dr. Gila Z. Reckess, PhD. That’s like “ReckLess,” without the “L.”

I assure you, I’m usually not reckless. On the contrary.

I believe that your therapy needs are as unique as you are, and that my job is to intentionally and compassionately help you the way you need.

Parents of children and tweens

Are you struggling to show up for your kids the way you want because you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or frequently triggered? OR Has your child’s anxiety, behavior challenges, or medical condition taken over your and your family’s lives? You don’t have to do this alone.

Adults with brain disorders / injuries

If you’ve been diagnosed with a neurologic disorder, like epilepsy, head injury, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or multiple sclerosis, you may feel confused about what it all means, overwhelmed about how to manage your medical health and the memory and emotional challenges that come with it, or worried about what to expect in the future. My psychotherapy and cognitive support services can help you navigate this bumpy road.

Caregivers of individuals with brain disorders/injuries

If someone you love has been diagnosed with a neurologic disorder like mild cognitive impairment (MCI), dementia, epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or brain injury, you may feel confused about what it all means, overwhelmed about how to help them while managing your own physical and emotional health, or worried about what to expect in the future. You deserve support.

About Me

Hi, there! I’m Dr. Gila Z. Reckess (she/her/hers).

My goal is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and to empower them to take an active role in their own healing. I have a particular interest in working with parents of young children, as well as adults and caregivers who have been affected by brain disorders or brain injuries.

Everyone’s journey is different.

I would be honored to walk alongside you on yours.
