Virtual Therapy for Adults
with
brain disorders or injuries in New York State

Life with a neurological disorder can feel overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes downright scary.
It’s hard enough to manage a chronic medical condition, but when the brain is involved, there are even more layers to navigate:
- How do you live a “normal” life, take care of yourself, and enjoy healthy relationships when your memory, attention, or other thinking skills seem to make daily tasks harder?
- And how do you manage the emotional and psychological challenges that often come with the package?
As a clinical neuropsychologist, I know how complicated life with a neurological disorder can be.
There are tools that can help.
Depending on your situation and needs, you may benefit from:
- Education at your pace to help you understand your individual diagnosis
- Psychological support as you learn to accept and navigate life with your neurologic condition
- Tools to manage emotional and psychological symptoms
- Cognitive coaching to improve daily functioning and to minimize the impact of thinking difficulties on your daily life

For Adults With Epilepsy:
For adults with epilepsy, I also offer the HOBSCOTCH (Home-Based Self-Management and Cognitive Training Changes Lives) program, either on its own or in combination with individual psychotherapy.
- HOBSCOTCH is a self-management program that helps adults with seizure disorders manage and cope with memory challenges to help them lead happier, more productive lives.
- 8-weeks program, typically by phone and/or video
- Evidence-based, developed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
